Common Questions & Answers (Q&A):
Qn: Can you clear Star Labyrinth with no legend?
Ans: Probably yes if you are lucky with the buffs and pick the right bosses on your way to the final boss but the risks of losing will be much higher and efficiency of obtaining star coins will be lower.
Qn: Are there other formations that can clear Star Labyrinth besides the ones shown below.
Ans: Definitely yes. The 2 formations shown below, use 10 same players with only 1 different player.
However, we do believe that there are better, more specific formations out there, that provide higher rate of winning for specific bosses.
Qn: How well does the 2 formations shown in this guide fare for Star Labyrinth?
Ans: There are people getting >10,000 star coins per season, with these 2 formations. The person recording the videos also did a 4700 / 5600 max star coins run for 1st half of the season. (Check the image in spoiler)
There are 5 types of spaces in the Star Labyrinth (Match, Treasure Chest, Redistribute, Transfer, Blessing)
When a new season starts, the Star Coins you have and the purchase record of the Labyrinth Shop items will be reset.
What are the rewards that are worth getting or must get?
Check the spoiler below for details.
Based on the Star Labyrinth Quick Run Method (scroll down below for more details),
Most new/intermediate players should be able to do the standard Star Labyrinth Quick Run detailed below (skipping round 11 & 12) for 5600 star coins.
So, how to spend them?
List of all buffs
Frontline Offensive Buffs Tier
Linco Liyen spirial passive is the top buff for the frontline because it simply prevents all types of enemy formations from recovering HP.
Next, we consider the stat that helps to do most damage.
Backline Defensive & Offensive Buffs Tier
Buffs that you must deny from the bosses
Danger level means if the right enemy player gets the buff, it could be over for your game.
Risk level relates to the possibility of the specific enemy player that you don't want to get the buff, getting the buff.
You can ignore HP heal related spirial passives if you managed to get the Linco Liyen spirial passive on your frontline.
For spirit related spirial passive, it depends on your star lab formation strategy.
For the purposes of the 2 formations shown in this guide, spirit drain and denial of enemy generating spirit is the key.
This helps to prevent intercept actives and block actives from enemy goalkeepers and makes it easier to kill and win.
However, this denial of buff / spirial passive need not be considered for all rounds but probably only round 9~12, depending on how strong your team is.
Hence, for the earlier rounds, you can just focus on picking the right spirial passive for your team and only deny enemy spirial passive in the last few rounds.
Star Labyrinth has 12 rounds.
Every even-numbered round will have a star space that doesn't require playing a match.
Hence, a quick run is simply to avoid all matches on the even-numbered rounds (2, 4, 6, 8, 10) and only doing the odd rounds.
Select the non-match spaces (transfer, redistribute, blessing, treasure chest) regardless of what they are and progress through quickly.
By doing so, you only need to do 5 matches to reach round 11.
Round 1 to 10 is like CoD OHKO which can be completed relatively fast.
You can watch the video below to see how long it takes to reach round 11 in a quick run.
As you may watch from the video above, you can reach round 11 in ~5 min 45 seconds using this method and finishing one full run in ~12 minutes.
However, the drawback is that, you will have a lower chance of getting good spirial passives and lower chances of beating the final boss match.
If you go back to the rewards sections, you might notice that you do not need to do all 28 expeditions to get what you want.
Unlike doing quick runs, the purpose of a full run is to try to beat the final boss.
Hence, we want to pick the right strategy and make sure to do the right thing to help us to win.
There are 2 aspects to take note, buffs & bosses.
Strategies & Tips (Buffs)
Strategies & Tips (Bosses)
So, before you start your labyrinth run, always look at the boss ace and pick the right formation.
2 formations will be shown below, 1 for stern boss ace while the other can be used to clear the other 4 bosses effectively and with high efficiency.
*The difficulty below ranking is based on a reasonably strong end-game team and also the 2 formations used in this guide.
*The perceived difficulty could be higher or lower, depending on the team formation that you've chosen.

Qn: Are there other formations that can clear Star Labyrinth besides the ones shown below.
Ans: Definitely yes. The 2 formations shown below, use 10 same players with only 1 different player.
- The reason why we show the formations below is because 1 of the formations clears 4 star lab bosses while the remaining one clear the stern boss.
- This makes it easier such that you don't have to keep changing formations and even when you need to, you only need to change one player as shown in the formations below.
However, we do believe that there are better, more specific formations out there, that provide higher rate of winning for specific bosses.

Star Labyrinth Basics
How to Enter
Star Labyrinth will be unlocked when you clear Story Mode 10-9.
You can enter the Star Labyrinth in the Expedition screen.
How It Works
One season of the Star Labyrinth lasts 28 days.
The first and the second half will last for 14 days each. 14 expedition tickets will be given each day for the 14 days both during the first and second half. However, when you move onto the second half or when a new season begins, the remaining tickets will be reset to 14 and not accumulated.
The 14 expedition tickets can be consumed at any time within the 14 days.
Spiral Passive
Spirial passive is a system that operates only in Star Labyrinth. It enables you to attach the 4th passive skill to a player.
It's interesting because it contains the characteristic of a specific player.
Since a player whom you can attach the Spirial Passive to, for each round is already determined, it's not possible to attach the desired Spirial Passive to the desired player.
However, when clearing a match, you will be given 3 types of Spirial Passives as options, so you can choose one that suits your player best.
(*Two unselected Spirial Passives will be attached to two random enemy players in the next match as the 4th passive skill.)
Spiral Passives that have already been attached to other players will no longer appear during the cycle.

Types of Spaces in the Labyrinth
There are 5 types of spaces in the Star Labyrinth (Match, Treasure Chest, Redistribute, Transfer, Blessing)
- Treasure Chest - gives random skip tickets, custom draw tickets etc.
- Transfer - allows you to transfer 1 existing, attached spirial passive to another player of your choice
- Redistribute - allow you to reroll 1 existing, attached spirial passive to a random spirial passive (no turning back after choosing this option)
- Blessing - your team gets one of the following buffs, for the next match only.
Star Labyrinth Rewards
When a new season starts, the Star Coins you have and the purchase record of the Labyrinth Shop items will be reset.
What are the rewards that are worth getting or must get?
- The answer to this question will decide how much Star Labyrinth that you should do.
- The answer will depend on whether if you are a veteran player, intermediate, new player OR whale, free to play
Check the spoiler below for details.
New players should obtain items that helps their initial progress fast.
Top player means that they have all legends and SR with hyperboost maxed, coop technique maxed so they don't really need player spirials.
Top players with 50+ LUQs (legendary uniques) wouldn't be too concerned with spirit cores either.
Items important for whales are those that they need astronomical amounts, that purchasing packages cannot satisfy.
The opposite is true for F2P where items important for F2P are items that are hard to obtain via normal play but can easily be obtained via purchasing such as property redistribute tickets.
- Cosmo spheres are end-game power creep items that new players wouldn't need yet but veterans and top players will need a lot of.
Same goes for custom stars and property redistribute tickets. New players don't need to worry about redistributing their stone properties yet and those are costly to get. It's better to obtain items that help their initial progress fast first.

Most new/intermediate players should be able to do the standard Star Labyrinth Quick Run detailed below (skipping round 11 & 12) for 5600 star coins.
So, how to spend them?
Star Labyrinth Buffs Tier List
List of all buffs
Frontline Offensive Buffs Tier
Linco Liyen spirial passive is the top buff for the frontline because it simply prevents all types of enemy formations from recovering HP.
- If enemy team cannot recover HP, it's just a matter of time to kill their goalkeeper and win.
- Also, this spirial passive disables all healing, even if enemy team received a spirial passive that heals (*tested).
Next, we consider the stat that helps to do most damage.
- Penetration is the most important stat for Star Labyrinth.
The reason being, some bosses and even round 11 enemy teams have goalkeepers with over 100% damage reduction.
There is presty with 140%+ damage reduction etc. - Without penetration, you will only do 1 damage to a goalkeeper with 100% damage reduction and increasing critical damage by 100%, you will still be dealing 1 damage.
Same for inflicting 50% additional damage to the goalkeeper, 50% additional damage of 1 damage is still 1 damage, maybe 2 damage. - Only after having 100% penetration, then the other B tier spirial passives can show their effectiveness to increase damage.
- Why is Nitro spirial passive S tier?
*Nitro passive is capable of debuffing the arbitrary buffs that the developers give the boss team's goalkeepers.
This means that Nitro spirial passive can reduce the 140%+ damage reduction that you see on some goalkeeper significantly and also the 20% HP damage is insanely good.
Backline Defensive & Offensive Buffs Tier
- Aiolos buff reduce the chances of enemy striker 1v1 your goalkeeper significantly and the heal is helpful.
- Stern buff is also insanely good, because it reduces the overall critical damage taken greatly and as long as you don't get OHKO-ed by enemy striker, your goalkeeper heals back 70% of the incoming damage later.
- Angelic buff reduces your debuffs taken and helps you to survive against high damage enemy teams such as leventor team etc.
- Any buff that gives penetration resistance is very valuable since it reduces damage taken at the last few boss matches greatly and are A tier.
- Free HP heals on your goalkeeper are always good and hence B tier.
This HP heal every 3 mins is also good on backliners in front of enemy striker to prevent 1v1 situation. - Finally, pure HP buffs are C tier.
Buffs that you must deny from the bosses
Danger level means if the right enemy player gets the buff, it could be over for your game.
- For example, if you can't ohko enemy goalkeeper and enemy goalkeeper gets the Ragnarok spirial passive (heals lost HP by 30% everytime an ally attacks), it's almost a certain loss for your match
Risk level relates to the possibility of the specific enemy player that you don't want to get the buff, getting the buff.
- For example, line totem such as aiolos or angelic spirial passive would have a medium risk level (4~5 out of 11 chance)
- While single target spirial passive such as Ragnarok spirial passive has a low risk level of the goalkeeper getting it (1 out of 11 chance).
Star Labyrinth Quick Run Method & Points Calculations
Star Labyrinth Full Run Strategy & Tips
Unlike doing quick runs, the purpose of a full run is to try to beat the final boss.
Hence, we want to pick the right strategy and make sure to do the right thing to help us to win.
There are 2 aspects to take note, buffs & bosses.
Strategies & Tips (Buffs)
- Pick
Pick the best tier buff instead of the buff suitable for the player selected.
For example, if your backline player is selected and you have 3 options:- Increases reflex and max HP by 35% of the allies within the position (B tier)
- Enemies in the assigned position become unable to recover the HP (SS tier)
- Decrease the passive debuff effects by 90% in the assigned position (S tier)
You should always pick the SS tier and pray to get to a transfer star space to transfer it to your desired player.
The only exception is that if you are already at round 8 and you don't see any transfer space at round 10, then you pick the buff most suited for the player selected.
*You can always see the star spaces 2 rounds ahead. - Increases reflex and max HP by 35% of the allies within the position (B tier)
- Transfer
Always pick the side with the transfer star space and be ready to transfer.
To be able to do so, you want to always put yourself in the middle spot (1 out of 3) at the even numbered star spaces.
Only at this position, you can choose to move towards top or bottom, depending on which direction has the transfer star space.
Redistribute star space is too random and not worth using.
You are better off getting 3 new spirial passive options by completing a star space with boss match.
The only exception is when you are at the last few bosses and only your midlane players are available for buffs and you are missing a good buff on your front or backline that you desire. That's when it might be recommended to use redistribute but certainly not at the start of the star labyrinth run.
Another strategy related to transfer is that, if you have been getting useless buffs on your front or back players, you can use transfer to get them to your mid players so that your front and back players will be available to get the 3 options buffs in the upcoming rounds. - Deny
If you remember the basics, the two unselected Spirial Passives will be attached to two random enemy players in the next match as the 4th passive skill.
Hence, in the later rounds, you should be aware of this and focus on denying enemy the HP heal buff or spirit generation buffs that might cost you the match.
The round to start denying enemy team the buffs depends on your confidence.
For me, I usually only consider denying enemy team the buffs from round 11 onwards.
But the recommendation for new players trying, is to start considering the denial of buffs from round 9 onwards.
Strategies & Tips (Bosses)
- Avoid the difficult bosses (based on your formation)
Learn to avoid the difficult bosses based on your formation, your goalkeeper, your striker etc.
For example, Raphaela used in the below formations in the video is weak towards Ranaelen, Leventor, Uranus bosses etc
Hence, always avoid these bosses.
For example, if your striker does not have sufficient critical rate or cannot OHKO certain enemy GK, don't pick those enemy GK with high critical resistance (Tae Hoon) or high heals (Ronald) that heals back 100% HP when shot at.
But this is mainly for round 10 and above, where the bosses' passives are altered by the developers and become obscenely strong. - Always be at the middle spot at round 10.
This is to put yourself in a position to be able to choose round 11 boss and to avoid the difficult one.
So, before you start your labyrinth run, always look at the boss ace and pick the right formation.
2 formations will be shown below, 1 for stern boss ace while the other can be used to clear the other 4 bosses effectively and with high efficiency.
Star Labyrinth Bosses Difficulty Ranking
*The difficulty below ranking is based on a reasonably strong end-game team and also the 2 formations used in this guide.
*The perceived difficulty could be higher or lower, depending on the team formation that you've chosen.
Our Experiences:
- The reason why Eleanor boss is hard is because the striker damage in that match is really high and you can die easily if Eleanor managed to get a 1v1 with your GK.
Eleanor match is probably the one that gives the highest chance of either losing swiftly or winning swiftly. - Ali boss match is only easy if you have Mirage that can OHKO ali easily.
Before Mirage was released, Ali match is of medium difficulty like Cypher match, due to heals and inability to OHKO.
*Mirage is able to remove Ali active buff passives which makes it easy to OHKO.
And this brings us to the reason why Cypher match is of medium difficulty, because you cannot OHKO and there are heals.
But Ali boss is still tougher than Cypher boss (if you cannot OHKO) because there is a defender (AI always steal) at the front while Cypher match, there is a strategical move to keep the ball in the backline and only pass forward to shoot when Cypher has the highest AB (as shown in the video below).
