Developer Notes on Pay2Complete Chains System

TL:DR
Now, you need multiple legends and superb bosses to complete chains for certain players.
After 21st June patch, 1 out of the multiple legends/superb bosses needed will be moved to sub chains.
So you will still need multiple legends/superb bosses to complete your chains for those players, but one less than before.

We'd like to talk about the Chain system issues and some other content that we discussed on the 3rd anniversary interview (part 2) in this developer's note. We will go right into the details.
[Character Chain Story]
We discussed this topic in the 3rd anniversary interview, but we felt that it was necessary to share the details.
The initial intention for the character chain system renewal was to modify the story, and improve the chains of players that doesn't have specific meanings to set the balance. However, poor results were made during the progress and caused some issues. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue, and we'd like to share the improvements that will take place in near future.
1. Overall Increase on Chain Difficulty Level
We value both quality of story and the level of difficulty, so we plan to make modifications and improvements as follows:
1) Legendary & Superb Bosses that appear in the Chains of 2~4★ Players
→ We are fully aware of the beginner users having a difficult time to access the Chain.
To resolve this frustration, Chains of the Legendary and Superb Bosses will be changed to the Sub Chains.
2) Legendary & Superb Bosses that appear in the Chains of 5★ Players
→ 1 of either Legendary Boss or Superb Boss of the main Chains will be changed to the Sub Chain.
3) Legendary & Superb Bosses that appear in the Chains of 6★ Players
→ 1 of either Legendary Boss or Superb Boss of the main Chains will be changed to the Sub Chain.
We plan to make the modification with the Jun. 21st update.
Please note that the overall chain missions won't be reset, and the chains that you already completed won't be affected.
2. Issue on the Striker - Striker, Goalkeeper - Goalkeeper Chains (Competition Chains)
As these Chains are replacing the previous Rival Chains, the chain activation condition will be changed to "on the same team or opposing team". We also plan to apply this modification to the game with the Jun. 21st update.
Please note that the schedule is an internal goal of our team, and we will let you know in advance if there are any changes being made during the development process.
[3rd Anniversary Video]
We have revealed two teaser clips (15 & 30 seconds) so far.
We originally planned to release the video with the 3rd anniversary major update. However, we were not satisfied with the overall quality and decided to postpone the release date. We believe that lots of users are expecting a high quality video from the development team. Since we are celebrating the 3rd anniversary of game launch, we thought that the video should be in better shape in many ways.
We are currently planning to release the 3rd anniversary video in June, so please stay tuned.
If we focused on the appearances of a variety of players in the 1st anniversary video, and powerful action scenes in the 2nd anniversary video, we are now focusing on the overall quality and perfection in the 3rd anniversary video.
We will share some of the production process that we are undergoing right now.

The 3rd anniversary video shows some characters that have not appeared in the game yet, which was not the case in the previous anniversary videos. In addition, we implemented some scenes that users may have imagined happening while playing the game. We hope that users will have many comments and discussions about the video.

We'd also like to take this moment to explain some information that were delivered incorrectly to users.
Jibril's Ace skill effect of increasing the recovery effects that the allies receive by 12% is being applied properly, but we noticed that this percentage is causing some misunderstanding from users.
Please see below for the details and the explanations.

Let's assume that the target's MAX HP is 1,000. The recovery amount will be shown as percentages.
1. The recovery amount when the Supergravity is not applied
Target's MAX HP x {default recovery amount+default recovery amount x (additional recovery amount-decreased recovery amount)}
When the Ace is applied: 1,000 x {20%+20% x (12%-0%)} = 224
When the Ace is not applied: 1,000 x {20%+20% x (0%-0%)} = 200
2. The recovery amount when the Supergravity is applied (in PVP)
Target's MAX HP x {default recovery amount+default recovery amount x (additional recovery amount-decreased recovery amount)}
When the Ace is applied: 1,000 x {20%+20% x (12%-50%)} = 124
When the Ace is not applied: 1,000 x {20%+20% x (0%-50%)} = 100
3. The recovery amount calculation method that is assumed to be misleading the users
Target's MAX HP x {default recovery amount x (1+default recovery amount)} x decreased recovery amount
When 12% of recovery amount is applied: 1,000 x {20% x (1+12%)} x 50% = 112
When 24% of recovery amount is applied:1,000 x {20% x (1+24%)} x 50% = 124
When the Ace is not applied: 1,000 x {20% x 1+0%)} x 50% = 100
We understand that users have many questions as the amount of content increased in 3 years.
We are also aware that there are some systems that are not intuitive. We will modify these systems and try to improve the game in overall to provide better gameplay experience to all users.
We will share and explain some issues that can't be explained in the update details with more developer's note like this.
