Season 3 Colosseum of Trials 5-10 Guide™ Soccer Spirits

I will be writing down all the details for this trial and how to go about doing it.
If you do not read the guide carefully, you might experience lots of havoc when doing this trial and think that it is not doable.

This is a modified version of CieloAoi's original formation.
We used Luka instead of Karpila and WoM William instead of Vann.

- In the video/needed - 7* maxed superb +160 with rerolled light slot

Luka

- Possible Substitutes: Karpila or any assist that can withstand virgil hits and not die in 1 hit

- Possible Substitutes: None atm. You need the reflex totem + ability to hold the ball and sustain + team AB heal.
Duke

- Possible Substitutes: None atm, you need the bloodsucking, 50% total reflex totem
Khirel, Verister, Aslan doesn't need any superbs or plussing.
- Khirel may be substituted by other team or vertical line damage totem such as jiho, elise etc.
- Verister may be substituted by Silla although verister is better since she buffs metatron reflexes
Alternatively you can use silla backline and borrow friend verister. - No substitute for Aslan, you need her for vivid fear and duke reflex buff 100%.
Stone Builds:

The General Theory
Setting the Enemy midline HP
- We want Serestia HP, Vivid Fear HP to be lowered and Bell to be killed.
- Why is this so?
After shooting with your striker at frontlane, ball will eventually come back to mid.
The only player that can penetrate through our mid is Bell with her superplay.
Vivid Fear and Serestia cannot do enough damage to pen through and they provide a chance to be counterattacked.
This gives possession of the ball back to us. A.K.A Vivid fear can be CA-ed by metatron while Serestia can be CA-ed by duke. - So in the video, you will see the HP of Serestia being the highest, Vivid fear HP lowered while Bell is killed.
Controlling the Match Starting Action Bar of our frontline & enemy backline
- This step is the key to making the match consistent.
- Metatron pens and hold the ball to let enemy attack her and make our frontline reach 80% AB cap.
Metatron's pen will reduce enemy backline starting AB to 20% bottom CAP (since quick start is in enemy backline) - This makes the video extremely consistent to follow because the match starting AB at frontline is the same for all tries.
- Hence, for the initial part of the video, you should try to copy the frontline flow exactly because it can be copied exactly +)
Not letting Silk cast her active too early
- When you go to frontline for the first time in the match, usually enemy will have slightly more than 1 bar of spirit.
- If you do not active pass or do active shot, Jin will not block.
When Jin doesn't block, Silk will get enough spirit to cast active right away.
That is what we want to prevent. - Hence, active pass with Luka right away and draining enemy spirit so silk cannot cast active
Suiciding Elaine to Silk at Elaine's first action
- So after Luka active pass and William shot, Elaine will get her turn.
- This is when you need to suicide Elaine to Silk.
Elaine won't actually die but takes enough damage such that Silk can penetrate out of backline. - If Elaine didn't take damage, Silk cannot get enough damage to penetrate through Elaine.
Preventing Virgil Heal
- This is not something that we can control very well.
- But Kevin, Silk, Bell, Serestia, all have 1.5 bar active.
So they help to drain the spirit so Virgil doesn't get enough spirit to active heal. - A tanky assist is also the key to deterring Virgil.
For example, Virgil is unable to pen through Luka even after receiving a pass from Jin. - After a few shots, ball would have come back to mid and its time to kill Serestia to prevent Virgil heal.
Killing Serestia prevents Virgil heals?????
Kill Serestia and penetrate Kevin * Jin with Duke/Beth and the ball will stay on your striker.
**Virgil will not be able to get his turn while other enemy backline defenders get to regenerate their turns.
Letting the ball get out of backline
- This is prolly the most important concept of this match.
- Every player in enemy backline only gets one turn per round.
- So you want to be able to take more than one shot for every turn that enemy backline gets.
Otherwise, Jin will get a lots of heal from Virgil everytime virgil gets a turn.
This will kill the match for you because you must kill Jin in 8~10 shots. - And to prevent that, or to achieve one shot or more per enemy backline turn, the key is to let the ball get out of backline.
- How to get more than one shot per enemy turn?
When Elaine is dead, you can steal right away when the ball gets back to mid, and shoot again with William.
With centre forward dead, Jin will bring the ball out of backline right away after striker shoots.
This can be observed in the video also. - Hence, reduce the number of turns that virgil can take by letting ball out of backline.
- This is the reason why we suicide Elaine to Silk at the start.
Enemy kevin might not be able to penetrate through William at full HP with silla ace.
Therefore, suicide William and damage him asap when you can.
Waiting for Silk's passive/buff to be gone
- Sometimes, it's good to let the ball flow in mid for a while and not rush to get to the frontline after a few shots.
- Because Silk's passive only last for 5 minutes.
If you have issues critting, it might be wise to hang around in mid for 5 minutes, to wait for the silk buff to be gone.
Wiseman Trail * Evolved Addiction [Uniques]
- Useful uniques for increasing striker critical rate and lowering enemy goalkeeper critical resistance.
Stalling in the Midlane for the last 1~2 shots / final shot
- Last and easy to understand
When you have done 7 to 9 shots and enemy Jin is about to die, stall in midlane. - Wait till 40th min+ to go up to frontline and do the final shot
- Even when enemy Jin is not about to die, but to die in 2 shots, you can also stall in mid and use metatron to do AB control.
What do I mean by AB control?
Silk is the fastest in enemy backline.
So if you can reduce enemy AB with metatron, you can perhaps prevent a virgil turn.
Metatron can hold the ball, get hit by Serestia and increase your striker AB at frontline (if you are not using Vann)
Specific Notes:
- Aligned with the general theory, Elaine should have no skill points allocated to her last passive.
0 skill points on +100% reflexes when attacked
You do not want Elaine to CA enemy backline.
A lot of people would be thinking that Elaine is useful for CA-ing enemy backline to win the match for you.
But, it's the opposite. When Elaine CA enemy backline, it gives the other 3 enemy defenders to steal and waste their turns.
Every turn that is wasted, means an additional chance for Virgil to get more turns per shot that your striker takes.
(This is also why only EBM is needed for Elaine. No reflex stones needed too) - Silla should have all her passives maxed and 3 points on active if not 7*.
You want Silla to be able to regenerate as much HP as possible when doing a pass. - Vivid Fear has critical rate issues and if she doesn't crit, might die to enemy Bell/Vivid Fear steals.
So try to get her critical rate up with stone substats.
This is less of a problem at the start but more of a problem after silk pens through and gives enemy midlane crit. resist. - Stealing from enemy midlane players that have received a pass
This might result in your midline players going below silla ace condition.
The only player that can steal when enemy players have received a pass is Duke/Beth.
Stealing with any other players MIGHT result in you losing silla ace and never getting it back.
Which means enemy midline/backline player will pen through your mid subsequently.
