AU96 Karpila VS IC Luka / Renee / Nari / White Guardenia™
Where does AU96 Karpila stand, among the available IC (Ignition Catalyst) assist?
Which is the strongest PvP IC assist of them all?
First, lets have a look at AU96 Karpila:
AU96 Karpila Skill Build
PvP: 5/5/5/3 (Maximize attack power & critical rate totem)
PvE: 5/5/3/5 (Maximize pass effect)
AU96 Karpila gives 30% attack power and critical rate buff, to the line with her active pass, for 3 minutes.
AU96 Karpila gets 40% pass effect buff + 8% pass effect buff (minimum; assuming the ball gets to the front in 1 attack)
AU96 Karpila gets 4.8% speed buff (minimum; self only; assuming the ball gets to the front in 1 attack) (PvP)
My plan here is, to rate the PvP ~ IC assist (s) in terms of 5 aspects:
Critical Rate provided to striker
#1 Nari: 40% critical rate on active pass only
#2 AU96 Karpila: 30% critical rate for 3 minutes with a pass + 30% critical damage
#3 EA01 Luka: 20% critical rate totem + 40% pen power
#4 Renee: 20% critical rate totem for ardor players only + 30% critical damage
#5 White Guardenia: No critical rate buff
Critical Rate might be important in PvP but to determine the best PvP IC assist, we need to look at the overall damage that an assist can help to provide, through penetration power, and other buffs.
Maximum OHKO / Active COMBO damage
On active pass,
#1 AU96 Karpila: 30% attack power (3 min), 30% critical damage, ~45% pass effect (minimum)
#2 Renee: 80% pass effect, 30% critical damage
#3 EA01 Luka: 40% pen power, 20% pass effect
#4 Nari: 50% pass effect
#5 White Guardenia: 30% critical damage
*Assuming striker is able to reach 100% pen power from stone substats (40% pen power needed) with silla in-line
Despite Karpila and Renee being ranked higher, most people are unable to get 40% pen power from stone substats.
Therefore, Luka is still the preferred IC assist for most people not because she provides higher active combo damage but because she helps most strikers get to 100% pen power easily.
Where 100% pen power is needed to maximize striker PvP Active COMBO damage.
Ability to outspeed backline IC stealer
#1 EA01 Luka: 20% action speed buff, EE stats
#2 Renee: 25% action speed buff, Evolved stats
#3 AU96 Karpila: 3% action speed buff (minimum), Evolved stats
#4 Nari: No action speed buff, EE stats
#5 White Guardenia: No action speed buff, Evolved stats
Overall, Luka is capable of outspeeding an IC defender at 80% AB with magnus/kiki speed buff.
Other than Luka, Renee might be able to do the same but the other 3, are unlikely to do so.
Utility Purposes
#1 EA01 Luka: 20% speed buff to line and 35% speed debuff to enemy lines
#2 White Guardenia: Impenetrable by most backline defenders
#3 Nari: Recovers AB & spirit when attacked, up to 80% AB cap.
#4 Renee: No Utility
#5 AU96 Karpila: No Utility
Overall, Luka also ranked #1 here for her speed buff/debuff utility.
WG and Nari are also useful for their different abilities that brings a different strategic component to the game of their own.
Overall Best IC assist in PvP
The best and easiest IC assist to incorporate into any front-lines is still EA01 Luka.
Her 40% penetration power active makes it very easy for any striker to achieve 100% penetration power.
