A Comprehensive Guide to the Strategy I used for Colosseum of Trials (CoT) 5-10™ Soccer Spirits
(Updated 13th December 2015)
There are many strategies out there that is capable of beating Colosseum of Trials (CoT) 5-10.
My strategy is not the best strategy; it works but it needs a certain amount of luck or RNG as people call it.
You will understand as you read on +)
After you understand it, you might be able to adapt it to what you have for a better strategy to beat this floor.
What I will include in this guide:
Questions & Answers:
Below are some questions that I've gotten from people.
Question: Why does my hildegard not get out-reflexed by enemy backline while your mikael gets counterattacked?
Hildegard is an attacker with naturally low reflexes.
My Hildegard (fspu +15) is similarly with low reflexes.
She gets ~1000 reflexes with managers (Lucy, Clover) and reflex substats from stones
In the match, I used:
Hence, she does not get counterattacked.
Question: Can we use another totem instead of Lynia?
Here, the qualities of the totem that we need are:
You can use any other totems that meet these qualities.
The last attack power boost is optional if you have enough sustain or damage for final 2HKO.
Question: Can we use infinite Metatron instead of Hildegard?
Personally, I have not tried it with Metatron but its the same regardless.
There are 3 criterais to fulfil for Metatron to work:
If metatron fits these 3 criteria, it works the same as hildegard actually;
If you watch my video, you will know time is not an issue... I have lots of time doing nothing just penetrating jin;
So metatron speed at killing enemy backline is not an issue and you have william to help.
Question: Can we use Sharr instead of William?
Yes, you can.
Just dont attack/steal with sharr because sharr doesn't recover enough HP, unlike william who has passion passive.
And if sharr can ohko jin 1v1, using sharr might be even easier than using william;
I might try with an op sharr friend in future.
But assuming sharr cannot ohko jin, then using sharr is 500% harder
Reason being, it must work like this:

Questions & Answers:
Below are some questions that I've gotten from people.
Question: Why does my hildegard not get out-reflexed by enemy backline while your mikael gets counterattacked?
Hildegard is an attacker with naturally low reflexes.
My Hildegard (fspu +15) is similarly with low reflexes.
She gets ~1000 reflexes with managers (Lucy, Clover) and reflex substats from stones
In the match, I used:
- Aslan (+30% reflexes to attackers)
- Lynia (+30% reflexes to line) that increased Hildegard reflexes to ~1500.
Hence, she does not get counterattacked.
Question: Can we use another totem instead of Lynia?
Here, the qualities of the totem that we need are:
- Speed for Hildegard to stop enemy from moving as Hildegard needs to be faster than enemy backline
- Reflexes so that Hildegard doesn't get counterattacked
- Attack Power to boost Hildegard & William sustain/self heal (Optional)
And also William final 2HKO capabilities
You can use any other totems that meet these qualities.
The last attack power boost is optional if you have enough sustain or damage for final 2HKO.
Question: Can we use infinite Metatron instead of Hildegard?
Personally, I have not tried it with Metatron but its the same regardless.
There are 3 criterais to fulfil for Metatron to work:
- Metatron must be at a speed fast enough to stop the motion of the enemy backline
- Metatron must have enough reflex;
Should be no problem since Metatron comes with reflex debuff - Metatron must be able to sustain when stealing and penetrating;
Not so sure if Metatron can do enough damage to sustain when penetrating or stealing
If metatron fits these 3 criteria, it works the same as hildegard actually;
If you watch my video, you will know time is not an issue... I have lots of time doing nothing just penetrating jin;
So metatron speed at killing enemy backline is not an issue and you have william to help.
Question: Can we use Sharr instead of William?
Yes, you can.
Just dont attack/steal with sharr because sharr doesn't recover enough HP, unlike william who has passion passive.
And if sharr can ohko jin 1v1, using sharr might be even easier than using william;
I might try with an op sharr friend in future.
But assuming sharr cannot ohko jin, then using sharr is 500% harder
Reason being, it must work like this:
- Sharr ab recover is (42.5%, assuming thunder pen stone)
Hildegard kills defender, Sharr shoots right away,
Hildegard kill next defender, pass back to sharr to shoot - Sharr recovers 57.5% ab - 10% from allies pass >> the time used depends on speed
Because the defender beside jin revives in standard 2 min time.
So that 47.5% ab must be recover in less than 2 min. - Assuming hildegard kills defender and sharr is not at maxed ab right away; lets say sharr can be at 30% ab away
Then you will need to recover 47.5% + 30% ab in 2 min which will be very hard to time it well. - For william, william ab recover is (70%, dark crit damage stone)
So he has better chances since he only needs to recover 30% ab after shot;
-10% from allies pass so 20% only
Video:
The formation I used and Stones of the Key Players:
Kevin - Hildegard - William - Lynia
Elise - Sammy (IC) - Veronica
Silla (Ace) - Khirel - Cynthia
Aslan
William stones: Teranox Blood (TB), Dribble, Critical Rate, Dark Critical Damage (Prism)
Hildegard stones: Will of Metatron (WoM), Thunder Penetration Power, Dark Critical Damage, Dark Critical Damage (Prism)
Kevin stones: Endless Burning Matter (EBM), Ardor Pass, Light Action Speed, Ardor Pass (Prism)
Lynia stones: Silent Cold (SC), Dark/Thunder Action Speed, Stone with good speed substat, Ardor Pass (Prism)
Sammy stones: Ignition Catalyst (IC), Whirlwind Action Speed, Light Reflex, Ardor Reflex (Prism)
The General Strategy:
There are 3 parts to this strategy:
- Getting the ball to the front
- Killing enemy backline defenders and stopping their motion
- Timing your final shot
To get the ball to the front, the strategy I used was:
- Lose the coin toss
- Ignition Catalyst for Sammy to be faster than Shu (who is holding the ball)
- 2 reflex stones on Sammy to counterattack Shu and bring the ball to the front
You will need a high reflex Sammy to have a good chance of counterattacking Shu.
My Sammy has ~1700 reflexes - Hence, 2x luck component involved; so I do not recommend people to try my strategy
You might be able to come up with a better strategy, like using a better midline to bring the ball to front
Dealing with Enemy Backline:
- This is pretty straightforward;
As observed from the video, shoot right away.
Jin will pass the ball to a defender and you kill the defender 1 by 1 with Hildegard and William - Silla ace + Hildegard stones & William stones allow them to sustain when stealing from the enemy backline
- Hildegard passive will stop enemy from moving as long as your hildegard is faster than enemy backline
- After you killed all the defenders, just penetrate with Hildegard, like in the video
Timing your Final Shots:
- As you can see from the video, William can 2HKO or takes 2 shots to kill the Jin.
- So, shoot with William until the 8/10 shots, keep the last 2 shots for killing Jin
- The sequences during the last minutes:
You have to kill Bell, then shoot with William;
Then kill the backline defender that Jin pass to, then shoot with William again - Ideally, you should kill Bell between 42:24 and 43:36
Backline & Mid-line Team Totem Management:
The team totems that I used:
- Aslan; +30% reflexes and critical damage for Hildegard
- Khirel; +25% attack power and critical damage for the TEAM
- Veronica; +15% attack power and critical damage for Hildegard
- Elise; +15% attack power for the TEAM
- Cynthia; 15% slow debuff to ENEMY TEAM
- Silla; for the damage reduction ace
Details to Note:
There are some small details but very important details to note;
If you miss these details, you might have problems beating the mission.
The Tips:
- Jin has a block with 20 minute cooldown.
So you want Jin to be unable to use his block when you do your final shot.
What I did was, wait until >25 minutes into the match, use William active
You might have already observed this from the video; - Teranox Blood (TB); that last for 20 minutes after proc
TB works for only 20 minutes after the critical hit.
You want the TB effects to last and be there at 42th to 45 minutes when you do your last 2 shots
Hence, you want to do your critical hits after 25 minutes into the match so TB effects will last until the end of the match. - Similarly, kevin active last for 15 minutes;
It is not exactly necessary to cast his active;
But I cast it >30th minutes into the game
