Step by Step Guide to Colosseum of Trials (CoT) 3~1 to 3~5™ Soccer Spirits
(Updated 11th December 2015)
Mod Edit: This guide is outdated. Please do not refer to it anymore.
Check out the Season 3 CoT Guides.
This guide is for Colosseum of Trials (CoT) Mission 3~1 to 3~5.
I am only writing guides for floors that I have cleared up to now.
The reason why these 5 floors are lumped into one guide is because the winning conditions are similar to a great extent.
Thus, the concept of completing these missions will be very similar.

Videos will be included in time to come.
Questions & Answers (Q&A):
Question: What do I do if I do not have the players stated in this guide?
Try to scout them; Not many needed;
Alternatively, post your team/bench in this thread and I will get back to you, to formulate something to beat the mission
Question: Are there other ways to beat these missions?
Definitely; but these 2 are the easiest ways and with least investments needed;
Question: What do I do with my backline?
Use team totems/buffers
For example, Cynthia (Enemy Team Slow), Team Buff (Elise/Khirel/Aslan etc..)

Methods to Complete These Missions:
The Conventional Method
However, not everyone has a maxed goalkeeper of 2 elements;
Also, not everyone has a maxed striker of 2 elements

Use team totems/buffers
For example, Cynthia (Enemy Team Slow), Team Buff (Elise/Khirel/Aslan etc..)
The Winning Conditions:
- Win by making 6 shots
- Win by using active skills no more than 3 times
- One specific element not allowed
Methods to Complete These Missions:
The Conventional Method
- Use a goalkeeper;
Survive, penetrate to the front, shoot 5 times with attackers
Then OHKO with an active pass and active shoot.
However, not everyone has a maxed goalkeeper of 2 elements;
Also, not everyone has a maxed striker of 2 elements
So, you need another way when your goalkeeper element is not allowed in one of the matches
The 'No Goalkeeper' Method
In this method, you will not be using goalkeeper;
With this method, what you need is:
- A friend with an infinite player that he can lend you as ace
- Kevin/Jeunese for quick start
- 2 good speed totems (Luka/Valkia preferred)
So you will face 2 main issues
- Getting the ball to the front
- Preventing enemy from getting the ball out of their front
To get the ball to the front, there are 3 ways to do so:
- Start with the ball
Penetrate normally to the front
Will be better if you can tank with the ball and do a heal before going to the front
For example, attacker - silla - avnore mid - Let enemy start with the ball
Have a high reflex mid and steal the ball - Start with the ball
Have a speed mid and use a forward passer
So now, you have the ball at the front; you need to prevent enemy from getting the ball to your back
The best way is to use an infinite player;
But before that, lets assume you sent the ball up with a forward pass without any action bar heal/recovery;
- So #1, your front line needs to be faster than enemy backline; this is an important pre-requisite;
Hence, you will need speed totems at your front; - Then, #2, assuming you do not have any infinite players, you have to borrow one from your friend.
The recommended infinite players are Metatron and Hildegard though there are others too.
Units you will need:
- One player with 'quick start' passive >> Jeunese or Kevin (recommended)
- Speed buff/debuff totems (Eden, Lynia, Avnore, Alice, Luka, too many to name all...)
Use Valkia (4*) player or Miho for draining enemy ab and spirit if possible
So your frontline will look like this:
Kevin - Infinite player - Speed totem - Speed totem
Strategy:
- Start by shooting enemy goalkeeper
- Try to cast Kevin slow debuff active as soon as possible
- Enemy goalkeeper will pass the ball to one of the backline defenders
- Kill the defender; shoot enemy goalkeeper again and repeat
- Kill enemy goalkeeper on 6th shot
Some potential issues that you might encounter:
- Too much damage and kill enemy goalkeeper too fast
After shooting enemy goalkeeper for the first shot, you can shoot with other players for lower damage
Or ask your friend to remove some stones or use weaker stones
Or reset skills for lower damage - Enemy moves;
Use better speed buff/debuff totems
Best are valkia, luka, miho, 0 spu is enough
With the above 2 methods, you should be able to clear all the missions from 3~1 to 3~5.
Good luck ~!!
