Next up for recall is our dear WW player Magnus.
Lets have a look at whether if we should recall Magnus?
Feel free to throw in your insights =)
First of all, what happened to Magnus?
Magnus had a skill change to his double element damage reduction passive.
Before Change:
Control Blue Flames: Decreases the damage that allies receive, from Ardor and Dark players within the position by 30%
After Change:
Control Blue Flames: Decreases the damage that allies receive, from Ardor and Thunder players within the position by 30%
Now the big question is, was Magnus nerfed?
If we looked at Chitose and Nerua skillset, both of them have similar passive that
Only Magnus passive was the odd one out because his passive does not work based on the principle above.
Thus, we can perceive this change to be a skill fix actually.
However, based on the definition of a significant decrease in value (nerf) in Bigball official notes:
Well, based on this definition, magnus skill change can be defined as a nerf since the 30% damage reduction from dark players has been removed.
Thus, effectiveness of a skill has decreased by 30% or more, despite not considering the buff of 30% damage reduction to thunder players added.
However, from a player's perspective, Magnus actually got a buff since
So what actually happens at Bigball or Com2US ???
I am sure everyone is curious of how things work there.
Why is there this wave of recalls almost every patch??
Well this is what happens before every week patch in Bigball's Balancing Meetings.
Now for the Big Question: Should we recall Magnus?
Based on the skill change, Magnus was 'buffed', not nerfed, despite this being a subjective conclusion.
However, there is always this same reason to recall any season 1 player.
Hence, there is no reason to recall Magnus based on his skill change.
But there are always 'other reasons' to utilize the recall system for our benefits =)

If we looked at Chitose and Nerua skillset, both of them have similar passive that
- Reduce damage from the element that has advantage against them
- Reduce damage from the element that they have advantage against
Only Magnus passive was the odd one out because his passive does not work based on the principle above.
Thus, we can perceive this change to be a skill fix actually.

However, from a player's perspective, Magnus actually got a buff since
- Most strikers out there are non-dark with the exception of Ravian
But instead of dealing huge damage, ravian does -20% team hp damage which is not reduced by Magnus old passive. - As for Lucid, she does crap damage in PvP
- As for Vitos, I have climbed to Galaxy League 2600+ score and only met one guy who used Vitos as striker.
- In contrast, thunder teams account for >25% of the Galaxy League opponents that you will meet
Hence, damage reduction from thunder is more useful in that sense to lower damage from Blade/Leventor even more.

Based on the skill change, Magnus was 'buffed', not nerfed, despite this being a subjective conclusion.
However, there is always this same reason to recall any season 1 player.
- By recalling Magnus, you get a sho-sho that can be used on a season 2 player or a legendary boss.
- Whereas you can rescout Magnus, to superb him again
OR
Draw him again since Magnus x3 draw rate is in the upcoming weeks. - Compared to specific season 2 players which are no longer in the x3 and requires littres to superb.
Hence, there is no reason to recall Magnus based on his skill change.
But there are always 'other reasons' to utilize the recall system for our benefits =)
