Examining Aiolos, the Whirlwind Season 3 Legendary™ Soccer Spirits
Basically, we will be examining her skill build, ideal stone build, her PvP/PvE capabilities etc.
Storylore:
Mirr is a sophmore at Legend Women's High School and is famous for her stunning looks, superb test scores, and athletic physical abilities. She has a bright personality and is always surrounded by friends, but she has a secret that she is not willing to share with others. She is a hardcore online gamer and is currently hooked to a virtual reality massively multi-player online game called Emerald Dragon Online.
One day, Mirr was spending time looking at her character that was standing in front of the city inn and thought that it would be nice to actually live in a world like the game she was playing. Suddenly, a blinding flash covered the room and the next thing she realized was that she was on the top of the Emerald Pinnacle which was located within the land that her in-game guild controlled. Baffled by the sudden change, she looked around and found a mirror. Only to be shocked, she stood in front of the mirror and found an astonishingly beautiful girl looking right back at her. Being absolutely human, she immediately started wondering what was going on and was searching for answers. But after a brief moment, she realized that this was what she wanted for so long, cheered, and set off for a journey in the unknown but familiar lands.
Chains:
Nemesis: Beatrice
Rival: Lucian - Shura - Celus - Metatron
Affection: Saramir - Jay (F) - Magnus - Yuri - Rudy
Friendship: Bora - James - Vivid Fear - Irre
Nemesis with Beatrice? Probaby jealous of her big butts.
Her storylore is freaking long. Emerald Dragon Online? WTF is that?
She does have some good chains, like Metatron, Magnus etc. which are likely to proc since these 2 are cancer.
Other chains with decent chance to proc includes Lucian, Shura, Vivid Fear, Bora, Beatrice, Saramir.

"※ “Activated buffs” means the buffs that require a certain condition to become active during the match."
Does it remove unique stone stacks?
Yes, unique stone stacks such as WoM, DB, SoB requires an attack to become active during the match, hence removable.
Does it remove strikers' active stacks such as Vonchi's active, Ravian's active, Blade's active etc?
Yes, active stacks require shots to become active during the match, hence removable.
Does it remove passive stacks from players like Milky Way, Princess Meiran etc?
Yes, passive stacks from milky way/princess meiran requires an action to become active during the match, hence removable.

How does the stacks work?

PvP Capabilities:
Everyone has high expectations of Aiolos, the 3rd Season 3 Legend to be released.
People expected her to be OP of some sorts and she did come with a unique skill that no other player has:
She can remove unique stacks, utility strikers' active stacks, elaine passive stacks etc.
But the activation requires a total of 3 actions/when being attacked. Else she would be broken af.
If you look at her position bonus, Aiolos is meant to be viable in both frontline and backline.
So she is something like Jiho, both offensive and defensive totem but not totally focused on defensive capabilities like Duran.
But to use her, it means you are going to have one either one less critical resistance totem, healer, HP, damage reduction totem.
So if you are going to use Aiolos, you need to:
The effectiveness of Aiolos vary based on the PvP meta. If it is a OHKO meta, Aiolos is useless.
Aiolos requires a PvP meta where it takes huge number of shots to kill enemy GK. Even in a 3HKO meta, Aiolos will be useless.
Because if enemy striker can kill you in 3 shots, removing the buffs after 2nd shot, might mean for your GK to take one more shot eventually.
It might be more effective to run another critical resistance totem or healer in place of Aiolos instead.
Also, taking out a critical resistance totem to put Aiolos in the backline will result in a weaker backline where GK is vulnerable to die in less shots.
And in some cases, you might lose more than you gain, especially if you are just slotting Aiolos in and not building a backline around her.
PvE Capabilities:
As a PvE front-line totem, Elaine >>> Aiolos
As a PvP backline totem, Aiolos doesn't provide reflex, DR, HP buff nor penetration power debuff.
Main uses of Aiolos in PvE:
Another way which I can foresee how Bigball will force people to use Aiolos in PvE is:
So prepare yourself a friend with Aiolos ace and watch my prophecy come true !

But we can foresee Light/Dark season 3 legends to have a similar skill that removes debuffs.
How does the stacks work?
- The stack increases when Aiolos takes an action OR when being attacked.
When the stack count reaches 3, the enemy 'activated buffs' within the position are removed - Does it work outside of the position?
Yes, the stack increases when Aiolos takes an action within the line.
If you put her in backline, when she pens to front, the stacks increase in every line she passes through. - The passive/stacks work anywhere within enemy team as long as Aiolos moves through.
- Aiolos stacks are added as a debuff to enemy buff list.
When enemy player dies, the stacks stay and are not removed.

But the activation requires a total of 3 actions/when being attacked. Else she would be broken af.
If you look at her position bonus, Aiolos is meant to be viable in both frontline and backline.
- Her active buffs critical damage and critical damage resistance
- Her passive heals and also increases attack power at the same time
So she is something like Jiho, both offensive and defensive totem but not totally focused on defensive capabilities like Duran.
- As a backline totem, she doesn't provide sufficient defensive capabilities, no reflex buff, no HP buff, no damage reduction.
- As a frontline totem, she doesn't provide critical rate buff where if you have critical damage buff but does not crit, it defeats the purpose.
- Her main attraction is the her special skill, "to remove activated buffs".
Hence, she will remove either critical resistance buff on GK from players like silk or remove enemy frontline buffs.
But to use her, it means you are going to have one either one less critical resistance totem, healer, HP, damage reduction totem.
So if you are going to use Aiolos, you need to:
- Build a backline around her so that she can stack her "remove activated buffs" fast and repeatedly
- While still having enough critical resistance, damage reduction, HP to have deter enemy strikers at their 0 activated buff state.
In layman's terms, it means Aiolos is only suitable for a strong backline such as Durangela or Duran-BT or Jiho-Angela etc.
The effectiveness of Aiolos vary based on the PvP meta. If it is a OHKO meta, Aiolos is useless.
Aiolos requires a PvP meta where it takes huge number of shots to kill enemy GK. Even in a 3HKO meta, Aiolos will be useless.

Also, taking out a critical resistance totem to put Aiolos in the backline will result in a weaker backline where GK is vulnerable to die in less shots.
- Hence, it is a zero-sum game for the current PvP meta, where you put Aiolos in, you gain some and you lose some.
And in some cases, you might lose more than you gain, especially if you are just slotting Aiolos in and not building a backline around her.
PvE Capabilities:
As a PvE front-line totem, Elaine >>> Aiolos
- So Aiolos is not an effective PvE front-line totem
As a PvP backline totem, Aiolos doesn't provide reflex, DR, HP buff nor penetration power debuff.
- Her active critical damage resistance only comes after enemy striker shot
- So she is practically useless in PvE backlines.
Main uses of Aiolos in PvE:
- Against Piercing Wind Weather since she heals the line 10% HP every 3 minutes
But to be honest, we can heal more with other players twice within 3 minutes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) - Against strikers with stacked actives in endgame PvE
Put in front of such strikers and remove their 'activated buffs'
Another way which I can foresee how Bigball will force people to use Aiolos in PvE is:
In superb boss match where enemy striker receive gigantic damage boost beyond 2 stacks and Aiolos is needed to remove the activated buffs
So prepare yourself a friend with Aiolos ace and watch my prophecy come true !
