Should you amplified power-up your players? (APU+30)
From the 1st March Mid-Sized patch, Bigball has announced amplified powerup system to be an 'Official Endgame Content'.

Now, this brings us to the question, should we be amplifying powering up our players? (APU +30)
First, what is Amplified PowerUp and what does it do?
To make it simple, APU +30 is equivalent to 2 superbs worth of stats added to your player based on the patch notes/developer notes.
How much does it cost to APU +30 your players?
To APU+30 a natural base 5*, either 90 5* (non-duplicates) OR 30 5* (duplicates).
To APU+30 a natural base 6*, you need either 210 5* or 30 base 6* (released into grandmaster yowu).
How much crystals would you need to APU +30 a natural base 5* from draws? (Mileage Not Included)
Based on the announced 5* player drop rate of 5% (which we all know is .... )
You will need:
APU +30 - Yeah or Nay?
Now, we can see that investment required into APU +30 is HUGE.
Once you made this investment, there is no going back.
Hence, this brings us to the thoughts of the future progression of the cards development.
Would it be a vertical progression where there is one strong card and you keep investing into it?
Or will it be a horizontal progression where new power creep cards are released every year and you have to invest in new cards?
Are you willing to 7* +160, APU +30 a card with stone slot attribute reroll every year? Would it be every year or every 6 months?
Let's use an example, our PvE Queen, Sharr.
If you APU+30 Sharr, and Bigball releases a new PvE striker that is better than Sharr, your investments are GONE.
Because new content will be cleared by the new top PvE striker.
If you do not invest in the current top PvE striker (Sharr), then you might be penalized for not being able to clear the new PvE content.
Because APU +30 is being introduced as a vertical endgame content.
That means the game might be progressing towards building one card stronger and stronger.
The longer you hold out, the more penalized you are, for not investing in Sharr.
But if you invest in it and Sharr gets replaced as top PvE striker by a new card, GG.
So what to do?
A APU +30 striker is equivalent to 7 SPU striker compared to a 5 SPU APU+0 striker.
The slight difference in damage, 500~1000, could be either a OHKO or failed OHKO for PvE content.
To be honest, APU+ 30 is something not even being considered by 95% of the players out there.
Because it is so expensive that few people would even think about doing it.
Only whales and the top players would consider doing it.
But what about the non whales, casual P2P and even F2P players?
The introduction of this new 'endgame' content (APU +30) is meant to separate the whales from the casual P2P and F2P.
Eventually, only whales like Innox, Gerashi, will be at the top with APU +30 players.
If you don't spend as much, it's logical that you should not expect to be able to compete with the huge spenders.
You're not their match.
What about the casual P2P and F2P players?
You will not be able to compete at the top against these whales anymore.
APU +30 is not an option for casual P2P or F2P players.
Hence, you shouldn't even be thinking about it.
But you have the right to think about it and go about doing it.
All I would say is, "Good luck and don't be too sad when your APU +30 player is nerfed or balanced or power-creeped by future cards."
For whales, they will just move on to investing in the next top cards.
But as a casual P2P or F2P, can you do the same? Probably yes, but slower. How much slower? Very much.
By the time you are done, new power-creep again :DDD
As we can see, Soccer Spirits is becoming a battle-field of whales and for people who don't spend, you are not going to be at the top.
You will not be able to compete with the huge spenders.
You can try and prove me wrong. I will wait and congratulate you when you succeed :)
TL:DR
I hope this explains to the common folks whether if you should APU +30 your players.
Huge spenders, go for it if you want to compete at the top
Casual P2P, go for it if you want but mind the risks.
F2P, just stay low and don't bother thinking about APU +30, its not for you.

The amount of crystals needed is high. This point is necessary for the discussions below.
*Mileage is not included because releasing a 6* mileage, you will get a master yowu (5* APU) instead of a grandmaster yowu (6* APU).
Hence, most people will not do that.
